The stars of this collection illustrate Ukrainian winter holidays, sewn from natural fabrics, filled with sintepon, hand-painted by Ternopil masters.
The Baptism of the Lord is the third and final great holiday of the Christmas cycle, which is popularly called Jordan. On the eve of the holiday, the men cut down a pit on the river, set up an ice cross and a throne. It was believed that at midnight before the Epiphany, the water in the rivers was disturbed, and when it was consecrated the next day - on the Jordan - it had extraordinary properties. They kept it all year round, consecrated the house with it, drank it for ailments. In the Slobozhan region, there was an interesting belief that on Epiphany day there is a moment when water turns into wine.
The collection of stars "From Roman to Jordan" in 2014 decorated the Christmas tree, which took first place at the All-Ukrainian competition for Christmas tree decoration (Hit Parade of Christmas trees), which was held within the 15th International Exhibition of Gifts and Decor in Kyiv.
